Chris Jennings, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Chris Jennings is in his third season at MTC, which won the Tony Award for Eureka Day in 2025. He previously served as Executive Director at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. (recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award), where he produced and commissioned over 100 productions during his 19 seasons. He developed commercial partnerships and international collaborations, with The Washington Post noting that STC had “seized the crown as the region’s best importer of high-end drama.” He also toured productions nationally and internationally, including to the UK, China, and the Middle East, and oversaw the opening of the $90 million Sidney Harman Hall. Jennings has served on the boards of TCG, Theatre Washington, the D.C. Downtown BID, and The ARC Community Center. He previously worked as General Manager of Trinity Rep and Theatre for a New Audience. He earned his MFA in Theatre Management from the Yale School of Drama.
